Nigerian referee Joseph Odey Ogabor has been selected to officiate the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Equatorial Guinea. This crucial Group E encounter is scheduled to take place on Thursday at the Stade des Martyrs de la Pentecôte in Kinshasa.
Ogabor will be joined by his compatriots Tejiri Besmart Digbori and Emmanuel Omada as assistant referees, with Grema Mohamed serving as the fourth official. Ogabor brings significant experience from the Nigeria Premier Football League and continental competitions.
In a separate AFCON 2027 qualifier, Chadian referee Alhadji Allaou Mahamat, aged 40, has been appointed to oversee Nigeria's match against Madagascar on Friday, September 25.
