Nice faces Lens with key striker sidelined
2 May
Summary
- Nice aims to extend five-point lead over relegation zone.
- Striker Elye Wahi is injured and will miss the match.
- Kevin Carlos will start in place of the injured Wahi.
OGC Nice will host RC Lens, seeking to solidify their position five points clear of the relegation playoff spot. The team recently secured a draw away from home against Olympique de Marseille, with Elye Wahi converting a penalty.
However, Nice will be without Wahi for the upcoming match due to an injury. Kevin Carlos is anticipated to fill in for the absent striker, marking a rare start for the Spanish player who has yet to score in Ligue 1.
Aside from Wahi's enforced absence, coach Claude Puel is expected to maintain a consistent lineup. While Morgan Sanson required a second-half substitution last weekend, he is projected to return to the left flank of the attack.
