The Northern Ireland boxing team for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow is confirmed, comprising 12 athletes. Co-captains Michaela Walsh and Jude Gallagher, both gold medalists from the 2022 Birmingham Games, will lead the squad.
Walsh, a past silver medalist, returns to defend her featherweight crown. Gallagher, who won featherweight gold in Birmingham, will compete in the lightweight division this time. Both recently participated in the World Boxing Cup in Brazil.
The team features several debutants, including Jon McConnell and Louis Rooney, who also competed in Brazil. Caitlin Fryers earned her spot after a bronze medal at the Strandja Tournament. Kaci Rock, Janssen Hill, Eoghan Quinn, Garyn McAllister, and Willie John McCartan secured their places following victories at the 2025 Ulster titles.
