12 Oct
Summary
- Three NFL teams are still undefeated entering Week 5 of the 2026 season.
- The 49ers boast an MVP-caliber Brock Purdy and a strong defense.
- Chiefs' running back Kenneth Walker leads the league in rushing yards.
Entering Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season, a select group of teams maintains an unblemished record. The San Francisco 49ers have been a standout, securing four decisive victories led by Brock Purdy's MVP-caliber performance and Kyle Shanahan's offensive schemes, complemented by a resilient defense.
The Minnesota Vikings, surprisingly, are also undefeated. Their success hinges on a formidable defense, expertly marshaling opposing offenses and limiting points, despite the offense sputtering at times. The team's ability to win games without consistent scoring highlights their defensive prowess.
Completing the trio of undefeated teams are the Kansas City Chiefs, who have rebounded strongly after a disappointing 2025 season. Patrick Mahomes is performing well, and their defense has improved. A significant boost comes from new running back Kenneth Walker, who is leading the league in rushing and is on pace for a historic season.
