NFL Ticket Prices Price Out Fans
21 Mar
Summary
- NFL ticket prices are soaring, making games unaffordable for many.
- A sports agent suggests reserving seats for working families.
- Philadelphia Eagles games are the most expensive for families.

The increasing demand for NFL games has led to a dramatic rise in ticket prices, making it difficult for many fans to attend live matches. Legendary sports agent Leigh Steinberg suggests that teams implement a forward-thinking strategy by reserving approximately 10,000 seats per game. These seats would be distributed to working families and younger individuals, thereby planting seeds for future fan engagement and ensuring the sport's long-term sustainability.
Steinberg believes that true enjoyment of football comes from either playing the game or experiencing it live. However, the cost of attending has become prohibitive. A recent analysis revealed that a family of four attending a game at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles, faces an average cost of $2,133.44, with tickets alone accounting for $2,058.44.
