One of Hurley's final wishes was to see Gronkowski retire as a Patriot, a request that the team and Gronkowski have now honored.
Gronkowski, who was also named to the NFL's 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, finished his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2020-2021 season, winning another Super Bowl title. However, his legacy and heart remain with the Patriots, and he will now have the opportunity to officially retire with the team he spent the majority of his career with.
