The Nebraska Cornhuskers are off to a strong 3-0 start in the 2026 season, with some questioning if this is the best team in the program's history. This success is attributed not only to the players but also to the coaching staff and the instilled discipline.
Under Head Coach Matt Rhule, the team is executing fundamental aspects of the game, such as form tackling and downfield blocking, with greater consistency than in previous years. This was clearly demonstrated in their recent 34-7 victory against North Dakota at Memorial Stadium.
Despite the decisive win, Coach Rhule utilized the game to give depth players significant action, leading to three punts and two successful field goals. The Huskers successfully covered the Vegas spread of 24.5 points, fulfilling expectations and ensuring a 3-0 record heading into their next game against Michigan State.
