Summary
- Russell Westbrook reaches 10,000 career assists, 2nd player to do so with 25,000+ points
- Westbrook is 8th player in NBA history to reach 10,000 assists milestone
- Westbrook is all-time leader in triple-doubles with 205

In a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 15, 2025, Sacramento Kings point guard Russell Westbrook achieved a remarkable milestone in his storied 18-year NBA career. With a second-quarter pick-and-roll assist to center Domantas Sabonis, Westbrook recorded his 10,000th career assist, becoming only the eighth player in league history to reach this prestigious mark.
Westbrook's accomplishment is even more impressive as he is only the second player, after LeBron James, to reach 10,000 assists while also scoring over 25,000 points. The former MVP and triple-double connoisseur has cemented his legacy as one of the most prolific playmakers in NBA history, joining the likes of John Stockton, Chris Paul, and Magic Johnson among the all-time assist leaders.
Despite Westbrook's individual brilliance, the Kings have struggled this season, currently sitting at 3-10. However, the 34-year-old veteran continues to defy Father Time, leading the league in triple-doubles with 205 and overtaking the legendary Oscar Robertson in that category just last year.
