Summary
- Navdeep Saini joins KKR as replacement for injured Harshit Rana.
- Rana was also ruled out of IPL 2026 due to an injury.
- Saini has previously played for RCB and Rajasthan Royals.

Kolkata Knight Riders have secured the services of fast bowler Navdeep Saini for the upcoming IPL 2026 season. Saini has been brought in as a replacement for Harshit Rana, who has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. Rana had previously missed the T20 World Cup because of the same issue. This is the second replacement for KKR in a short span, as they had also replaced Akash Deep with Saurabh Dubey recently.
Navdeep Saini brings significant IPL experience to the KKR squad. He was first signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2019, where he took 11 wickets in 13 matches. He continued with RCB for two more seasons before being acquired by Rajasthan Royals. Across his IPL career, Saini has claimed 23 wickets and has also represented India in all formats.
Saini's addition provides KKR with valuable pace bowling depth as they prepare for IPL 2026. His past performances, particularly his early success with RCB, indicate his potential to be an impactful player for the franchise.
