The Washington Nationals are witnessing a significant surge in their prospect pipeline, signaling a bright future for their 2026 campaign. Three key players, Seaver King, Ronny Cruz, and Devin Fitz-Gerald, have recently been elevated into Baseball America's prestigious Top 100 prospect rankings.
Ronny Cruz, a 19-year-old, has been a rapid riser, excelling in both Single-A and High-A. His current performance, including a .319/.397/.536 slash line in High-A, has garnered comparisons to Fernando Tatis Jr. Cruz is now ranked as the No. 91 prospect.
Seaver King, a 2024 first-round pick, has also found his groove after initial concerns. He is now a Top 100 prospect, slashing .319/.412/.575 with significant power and improved plate discipline at Double-A. King's development is seen as crucial for the Nationals' future.
Devin Fitz-Gerald, acquired in the MacKenzie Gore trade, is the newest addition to the Top 100 at No. 99. Despite a shortened 2023 season due to injury, the infielder has hit .310/.439/.593 with power and stolen bases at High-A in 2024.
Additionally, Elijah Willits and Jarlin Susana remain highly regarded within the Top 100. Willits, the No. 1 overall pick from 2025, is performing well at Single-A, while Susana, despite currently being on the injured list following offseason surgery, is still ranked No. 54, indicating strong future potential.
