Free agent safety Nasir Adderley has officially come out of retirement to sign a contract with the Indianapolis Colts. This move comes after Adderley announced his retirement from the NFL in March of 2023.
Adderley, who is 28 years old, revealed his desire to return to professional football in February via social media. During his tenure with the Los Angeles Chargers from 2019 to 2022, he amassed 232 tackles, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles across 50 games played. The Chargers originally selected him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
With this signing, Adderley becomes a new addition to the Colts' safety group. He will join fellow safeties Jonathan Owens and Juanyeh Thomas, who have also recently been added to the team's roster.
