Nashville SC Claims 2026 Supporters' Shield!

Nashville SC has officially won the 2026 Supporters' Shield, achieving the league's best record with a decisive 2-0 victory. This marks a significant achievement, adding to their 2025 U.S. Open Cup triumph. The club is now on track to potentially break the MLS single-season points record, currently held by Inter Miami with 74 points in 2024.

Under head coach B.J. Callaghan, Nashville has transformed into a high-pressure attacking unit while maintaining a strong defense, conceding the fewest goals in the league. This tactical evolution, combined with stellar offensive performances from forwards Sam Surridge and Hany Mukhtar, who are among the league's top scorers, has led to remarkable success.

General Manager Mike Jacobs has been instrumental in building a strong team, acquiring key players like winger Cristian Espinoza, who leads the team in assists. Goalkeeper Brian Schwake also achieved his 15th clean sheet in the Shield-clinching match, underscoring the team's defensive prowess. This Shield victory guarantees Nashville a spot in the Concacaf Champions Cup.
