Weather Shifts Sunday's NASCAR Race Start
22 Aug
Summary
- Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at NHMS shifted earlier.
- Inclement weather forecast prompted the schedule change.
- Track and gate opening times were also adjusted.
Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series Dollar Tree 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will now commence earlier than its initially scheduled 3 PM ET start. The decision, announced on Friday, moves the race start to 2 PM ET. This adjustment is a collaborative effort between NASCAR, the NHMS track, and USA Network.
The primary reason for the earlier start is to provide fans with the optimal opportunity to experience the entire 301-lap race before anticipated inclement weather arrives. The event will still be broadcast on USA Network, with radio coverage provided by Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Fans attending the event will find adjusted entry times. Parking lots at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will open at 7 AM ET on Sunday. Ticket booths will be available from 8:30 AM ET, and grandstand and infield gates will open at 10 AM ET. The NASCAR Cup Series garage is set to open at 11 AM ET.
