The 21st edition of the Tata Mumbai Marathon, held on January 18, 2026, concluded with a record-breaking fundraising total of Rs60.68 crore. This accomplishment brings the marathon's cumulative fundraising since its inception to over Rs500 crore. The event attracted over 69,000 participants, spanning ages from 12 to 94, and is recognized globally among the top marathons.
Over 1,100 first-time fundraisers participated, collectively raising more than Rs53 crore before the race day. The latest edition saw funds channeled to approximately 309 NGOs, supported by 28,000 donors. Among the beneficiaries, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care, based in Gujarat, emerged as the top fundraiser, securing Rs13.02 crore for their initiatives.
Several individual runners achieved remarkable fundraising feats. Thirteen participants raised over Rs1 crore each. Notably, Willy Doctor raised Rs2.02 crore for the Light of Life Trust, and Dr. Bijal Mehta garnered over Rs2 crore for Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care. The event's success underscores Mumbai's spirit and its growing status as India's fitness capital.
