Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been cleared to play competitively again with immediate effect, following a resolution between the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Football Association (FA). The FA and Chelsea confirmed the disciplinary proceedings against Mudryk have been concluded.
Recent changes to WADA's technical document mean that if Mudryk's sample had been collected today, the concentration of meldonium found would not have triggered an Anti-Doping Rule Violation. Consequently, Mudryk is no longer considered ineligible.
Mudryk's last appearance for Chelsea was on November 28, 2024. He was subsequently removed from matchday squads, with then-head coach Enzo Maresca citing illness. The FA provisionally suspended him on December 17, 2025, after an adverse finding, and he was formally charged in June 2025. Chelsea stated they are pleased the matter has resolved, allowing Mudryk to return to football.
