Butt Backs Mourinho for Old Trafford Return

Nicky Butt, a former Manchester United midfielder, has stated that Jose Mourinho could still effectively manage the club if he were to return for a second spell. Mourinho, who previously managed United for two years before leaving in 2018, is seen by Butt as a winner capable of carrying the team.

Butt indicated that while Mourinho could be an option, the club's current preference for a manager focused solely on coaching, rather than controlling recruitment, might present challenges. He also acknowledged Michael Carrick, who is currently serving as interim manager, as a potential candidate for the permanent position at the end of the season.
