MLC 2026 Kicks Off: Stars Collide in Cricket Showdown

Major League Cricket 2026 commences on June 18th with the Texas Super Kings facing the Seattle Orcas in Dallas. The month-long tournament will host 30 league games featuring six elite teams: Washington Freedom, Texas Super Kings, Seattle Orcas, San Francisco Unicorns, MI New York, and Los Angeles Knight Riders. These teams will compete in a double round-robin format, with playoff matches determining the champions.

The playoff structure includes Qualifier 1, an Eliminator, and a Challenger match, all leading up to the Final on July 18th in Oakland. The tournament will be played across three venues: Oakland, Dallas, and Pomona. Last year's champions, MI New York, defeated Washington Freedom in a closely contested final, securing their title with a 5-run victory.

This edition boasts a roster of renowned international cricketers, including Nicholas Pooran, Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell, among others. Their presence is expected to elevate the competition, promising a display of high-caliber cricket and strategic gameplay across all participating teams and their impact players.
