Baseball Stars Rally for Venezuelan Quake Relief

Baseball stars from the Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins recently came together for a charitable autograph event. Players such as Brayan Rocchio, Gabriel Arias, and Angel Martinez of the Guardians, alongside Pablo Lopez of the Twins and former star Carlos Baerga, met with fans at Progressive Field.

The initiative aimed to raise funds for the American Red Cross Venezuelan Relief Fund. Hundreds of fans contributed by donating $15 or more, or physical goods, to assist those impacted by a devastating earthquake in Venezuela. This event underscored the deep baseball connections to Venezuela and the players' commitment to their homeland.

The Cleveland Guardians' Team Store also announced that all proceeds from game day sales would be donated to the relief fund. This community effort demonstrated the significant role sports can play in providing humanitarian assistance.
