In a move that will bolster the Oregon women's basketball team, former Minnesota forward Mallory Heyer has announced her transfer to the Ducks. Heyer, a senior, entered the transfer portal just before the start of the current college basketball season and has now found her new home in Eugene.
Heyer will complete her degree in finance at Minnesota in December before joining the Ducks in January. At Oregon, she will begin a master's program in management and have one season of eligibility remaining, competing for the Ducks during the 2026-27 season.
The Chaska, Minnesota native was a standout for the Gophers, starting more than 100 games over three seasons and averaging 9.5 points and 8 rebounds per game. Heyer said she was drawn to Oregon's successful program and the welcoming environment, feeling "so at home" during her visit to the campus last weekend. She is excited to contribute to the Ducks' continued success on the court next year.
