Dodgers' Rojas Earns Coveted Heart and Hustle Award

Miguel Rojas, infielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has been honored with the 2026 Heart and Hustle Award. This accolade, bestowed annually by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, is voted on exclusively by former MLB players. It celebrates players who demonstrate exceptional passion and embody the core values and traditions of baseball.

Rojas, a veteran of 13 seasons, is expected to retire at the conclusion of the current season. Following his playing career, he intends to move into a front office position with the Dodgers organization. This marks the third time Rojas has received the Heart and Hustle Award, having previously been recognized in 2019 and 2021 while playing for the Miami Marlins.

This season, Rojas has displayed his versatility by starting games at second base, shortstop, and third base. His performance includes hitting .268 with a .326 on-base percentage and a .406 slugging percentage, as well as a 100 wRC+ over 180 plate appearances. He has shown particular effectiveness against left-handed pitching.
