Wolverines Eye Top LB Recruit Ethan Hauser's Decision
27 May
Summary
- Ethan Hauser, a top linebacker target, commits soon.
- Michigan is a top contender for the Buford High standout.
- Hauser's teammate Brayden Watson also favors Michigan.

Michigan is actively pursuing Buford (GA) linebacker Ethan Hauser, a highly sought-after prospect in the 2027 recruiting class. Hauser is scheduled to announce his college commitment on Wednesday, May 29, 2026. The Wolverines have positioned themselves as a top-two contender for his commitment.
Should Hauser choose Michigan, it would mark the Wolverines' 16th commitment for the 2027 cycle and their first linebacker pledge. Hauser, a 6'3" and 200-pound player from the powerhouse Buford High, is ranked as a three-star prospect. His teammate, Brayden Watson, is also strongly predicted to commit to Michigan, potentially creating a package deal.
Michigan's linebacker coach, Alex Whittingham, has been instrumental in recruiting both Hauser and Watson. While Hauser's commitment is imminent, the Wolverines are expected to continue their pursuit regardless of his decision. An official visit for Hauser is slated for the June 19th weekend.
