25 Jun
Summary
- Michael Voss has no desire to return to AFL coaching.
- Carlton has won five consecutive games since Voss's departure.
- Voss is now working as a commentator for Fox Footy.
Michael Voss has revealed he does not wish to return to AFL coaching. Voss parted ways with Carlton in early May after four and a half seasons, with the team currently on a five-game winning streak and in contention for finals. Voss has since joined Fox Footy as a commentator, a role he finds fulfilling.
He admitted it's 'difficult' to see Carlton thriving without him, not due to personal regret, but because he cannot 'share in the spoils' with the players and coaches he mentored. Voss acknowledged the team's impressive evolution, noting improvements in their ball movement and defense.
Voss also commented on the interim coaching role, suggesting that the team's success under Josh Fraser might warrant his permanent appointment. Voss expressed that while he doesn't know what his future holds, he is focused on his new media career.
