Miami RedHawks Soar Unbeaten into Late February
24 Feb
Summary
- Miami leads the nation in field goal percentage at 53.4%.
- Six players average double-figure scoring for the RedHawks.
- The team emphasizes retention, relationships, and sacrifice.
The Miami (Ohio) RedHawks continue their remarkable undefeated season, standing at 27-0 in late February. Coach Travis Steele credits the team's success to strong player retention, genuine relationships, and a collective understanding of sacrifice, deeming these factors their "superpower."
Miami's offense is a national standout, averaging 92.3 points per game, second only to their field goal efficiency of 53.4%. Six players consistently contribute double-digit scoring, making them a difficult opponent for any defense.
The RedHawks are preparing to face Eastern Michigan, a team that has struggled recently, losing nine of its last ten games. Despite Eastern Michigan's offensive challenges, they rank third in the MAC in points allowed, potentially posing a defensive test for Miami's potent attack.
