Summary
- Miami football leaves Florida for first time in 2025 season
- Hurricanes travel to Dallas to face SMU in crucial ACC matchup
- Miami has played all games at home so far, with only one other road game

On November 1, 2025, the Miami Hurricanes football team will be making a rare trip outside the state of Florida, as they travel to Dallas to take on SMU in a crucial ACC matchup. This will be the Hurricanes' second true road game of the 2025 season, with their only other away game being a victory over rival Florida State on October 4.
Up until this point, Miami has played all of its games at Hard Rock Stadium, hosting the likes of Notre Dame, Bethune-Cookman, South Florida, and Florida. The Hurricanes have also had two bye weeks sandwiched between their home games, making for a rather unusual schedule. However, this trip to SMU will mark the first time the team has ventured beyond the Sunshine State.
The noon ET kickoff on November 1 will be an important test for Mario Cristobal's squad, as they look to solidify their position in the ACC standings. With a 6-1 record and a 2-1 conference mark, the Hurricanes are currently ranked 9th in the nation and are still in contention for a College Football Playoff berth. This road game against the 5-3 Mustangs could go a long way in determining their postseason fate.
