Real Madrid Lands NBA Player Yurtseven

Real Madrid has moved swiftly to address roster needs by signing Turkish center Ömer Yurtseven. The move comes after significant injuries to Edy Tavares and Alex Len, with both players expected to miss the remainder of the season. Yurtseven's signing is pending a medical examination and will keep him with the club until the end of the current season.

Although Yurtseven will not be eligible for the EuroLeague Final Four due to prior registration deadlines, he is expected to contribute to Real Madrid's campaign in the Liga Endesa playoffs. The Spanish powerhouse secured the top seed in the regular season, positioning them for a strong playoff run.

Yurtseven's recent basketball journey included a stint with Panathinaikos, where he averaged 6.3 points and 3.5 rebounds in 19 EuroLeague games. Following his departure from the Greek team on February 28, he returned to the United States, playing in the G-League and making nine appearances for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA, averaging 3.8 points and 3.3 rebounds.
