On October 22nd, 2025, the Memphis Tigers pulled off a dramatic come-from-behind victory over the 18th-ranked South Florida Bulls, winning 34-31 in a nail-biter.
The game was a back-and-forth affair, with South Florida quarterback Byrum Brown leading his team to a 31-17 advantage heading into the final quarter. However, Memphis refused to go down without a fight. Early in the fourth, a 13-yard touchdown run by Greg Desrosiers Jr. and a 28-yard field goal from Gianni Spetic brought the Tigers within striking distance at 31-26.
With just over a minute left on the clock, Memphis quarterback Brendon Lewis connected with Cortez Braham Jr. for a 10-yard touchdown pass, giving the Tigers their first lead of the game. South Florida had one last chance to tie it, but kicker Nico Gramatica's 52-yard field goal attempt as time expired fell short, preserving the comeback victory for Memphis.
Lewis finished the game with 307 passing yards, while Brown accounted for 390 total yards and three touchdowns for the Bulls. The win improves Memphis' record to 7-1 on the season and 3-1 in American Athletic Conference play.
