Freiburg Star Eggestein Extends Contract

SC Freiburg has secured the services of Maximilian Eggestein with a contract extension, solidifying his status as a key player for the team.

Eggestein, who has been a consistent presence over recent seasons, joined the Breisgau club from SV Werder Bremen more than five years ago. The midfielder has since established himself as an indispensable part of the squad.

Sporting director Jochen Saier lauded Eggestein, referring to him as the "perfect Freiburg player." Saier emphasized Eggestein's role as an anchor in the team's development, citing his on-pitch quality, professionalism, and social skills as highly valuable assets for the club's progress.
