Coach Robinson's Swift Switch: Giants to Raiders
16 Feb
Summary
- Matt Robinson left the Ravens for the Giants, then quickly moved to the Raiders.
- He previously worked with new Raiders defensive coordinator Rob Leonard in Baltimore.
- Robinson spent five seasons coaching with the Ravens before his recent moves.

Matt Robinson's coaching journey has taken another turn this offseason. After departing the Baltimore Ravens, he initially joined the New York Giants as an assistant defensive line coach. However, his tenure with the Giants was brief, as he has now accepted a position with the Las Vegas Raiders as their secondary coach.
John Harbaugh, Robinson's former head coach with the Ravens, reportedly gave his approval for Robinson to pursue and accept the role with the Raiders. This marks a swift transition for Robinson, who spent five seasons in Baltimore. During his time with the Ravens, he held positions such as outside linebackers coach and defensive quality control coach, working extensively with the defensive front.
Notably, Robinson has prior experience with the Raiders' new defensive coordinator, Rob Leonard, having worked together in Baltimore. Before his NFL career, Robinson coached at the collegiate level for four seasons, including stints with Maryland and Connecticut.
