Marlins Release Pitcher Blalock Amidst Uncertain Future

Right-handed pitcher Bradley Blalock was recently released by the Miami Marlins. The organization had expressed hope that Blalock might develop into a fifth starter or a middle reliever outside of Colorado's pitching environment.

However, his performance in Triple-A Jacksonville was a 5.56 ERA over 110 innings. He also made only four relief appearances for the Marlins, allowing seven runs in 11 1/3 innings.

The timing of his release suggests that Blalock might be considering a move to play baseball in Asia. This marks the end of his tenure with the Marlins.
