13 May
Summary
- Bryan Woo starts for Mariners, aiming for win streak.
- Tatsuya Imai returns from IL for Astros start.
- Game features 'Care Bears Night' promotion.
The Seattle Mariners are poised to face the Houston Astros in the second contest of their four-game series. Pitching for the Mariners is Bryan Woo, who is looking to extend an impressive eight-game winning streak his team holds against Houston.
Woo is coming off a recent dominant outing against the Braves, where he allowed only one hit and recorded nine strikeouts over six innings. This performance marked a significant turnaround from his previous two starts, which saw him struggle significantly. The Astros will send Tatsuya Imai to the mound, making his return after a month-long absence due to an injured pitching arm.
Imai's last appearance on April 10 was brief, against the Mariners at T-Mobile Park, where he was removed after just a third of an inning. Tonight's game at Daikin Park is also notable for being 'Care Bears Night', adding a festive atmosphere to the matchup.
