19 Jan
Summary
- Marco Rose is the prime candidate to manage Eintracht Frankfurt.
- Dino Toppmöller was sacked after inconsistent results.
- Mats Hummels highly rates Marco Rose as a coach.

Marco Rose has emerged as the frontrunner to become the next head coach of Eintracht Frankfurt, according to reports. The German tactician, who previously managed Borussia Mönchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund, has been without a club since his departure from RB Leipzig last year.
This potential appointment follows the sacking of Dino Toppmöller on Sunday. Toppmöller was dismissed after a period of inconsistent results, leaving the club in seventh place in the Bundesliga. Frankfurt also faces a European fixture against Qarabağ in Azerbaijan.
Former Germany international Mats Hummels has publicly backed Rose, praising his coaching abilities. While other names like Edin Terzic and Xabi Alonso have been linked, Lothar Matthäus suggested Alonso would not consider the role, deeming Frankfurt not a significant enough platform for him.
