Mandhana Shatters Records with 124 in Asia Cup

Smriti Mandhana achieved a career-defining performance in the Women's Asia Cup, scoring a remarkable 124 runs from just 64 deliveries. This explosive innings, featuring 14 boundaries and seven sixes, now stands as the highest individual score ever recorded in Women's Asia Cup history, surpassing Chamari Athapaththu's previous record.

During her masterclass, Mandhana also etched her name in the record books by becoming the leading run-scorer in women's international cricket, overtaking Mithali Raj's long-standing tally. Her century was her second in the T20I format, marking a new record for Indian women cricketers.

Mandhana's performance was a significant highlight, contributing immensely to India's dominance. The Hong Kong bowlers struggled to contain her, with dropped catches further aiding her aggressive batting display. She reached her fifty in 40 deliveries and her century in a swift 18 more.
