In the summer of 2025, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was the subject of a lucrative £100 million transfer offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. However, the 31-year-old midfielder has now firmly reiterated his commitment to the Red Devils, dismissing speculation that he turned down the move to boost his chances of featuring at the 2026 World Cup in the United States.

Fernandes, who joined United from Sporting Lisbon in 2020, has been a key player for the club despite their struggles in recent years.
