Man Utd Owners Rally Around Carrick Before Derby

Manchester United's majority owners, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and members of the Glazer family, were present at the club's Carrington training ground on Thursday. The executive committee meeting, initially scheduled elsewhere, was relocated to allow owners to speak with interim manager Michael Carrick before the crucial derby against Manchester City.

Carrick, in his second caretaker spell, is preparing the squad for the high-stakes match. With United out of domestic cup competitions and not participating in European tournaments, qualification for European football remains the primary objective for his 17 league games in charge.

Separately, defender Lisandro Martinez shared his challenging journey back from a serious knee injury. He admitted to considering retirement after his anterior cruciate ligament injury in February, but with the support of loved ones and professionals, he now feels physically and mentally stronger.
