Former Manchester United winger Nani believes legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson's strict disciplinary approach would have prevented current squad issues. Head coach Ruben Amorim recently described some younger players at the club as 'entitled' when discussing his reluctance to play them in the 2025-26 season.

Amorim's criticisms, particularly regarding defender Harry Amass and forward Chido Obi, prompted thinly veiled social media responses from the youngsters defending their performances. The manager emphasized that difficult moments are beneficial and that players seem to have forgotten the privilege of playing for Manchester United.

He expressed frustration that no players have approached his office to discuss their concerns, despite his open-door policy. Amorim feels the current generation of players often feels entitled and free to respond to criticism without direct engagement.
