Texas Longhorns cornerback Malik Muhammad recently spoke about the impact of veteran teammates on his collegiate career. During his three years at the "40 Acres," Muhammad benefited greatly from the guidance of players like Jahdae Barron, T'Vondre Sweat, Xavier Worthy, and Quinn Ewers.
Muhammad stated that these mentors shared valuable advice, preparing him for his own time to shine. He achieved career bests in tackles for loss (2.5) and interceptions (2) during the 2025 season, earning a second-team All-SEC selection.
Currently, Muhammad is recognized as a top cornerback prospect, ranking 12th among his peers and 87th overall on the 2026 Consensus Big Board. He also presented himself to NFL teams at the Senior Bowl as a player with high football intelligence and the ability to play at a high level both inside and outside.
