Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Jones expressed his positive feelings towards the 49ers' organization, leadership, and personnel, calling it the "best organization" he has played for. He indicated a desire to remain with the team and acknowledged that "anything's possible" regarding a trade, though he tries not to focus on it.

Jones stated his goal is to improve his technique and performance to potentially earn a "big deal" in the future. He currently prioritizes being present and focused on his role in San Francisco, a sentiment the 49ers organization likely appreciates given their own lack of strong intentions to trade him.

His value as a capable backup to Brock Purdy was demonstrated last season when Purdy experienced an injury. Jones has also reportedly integrated well within the team, earning praise from teammates like George Kittle, following previous stints with the New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars.
