Romelu Lukaku is expected to return to Napoli training on Monday, according to Italian reports. This move follows a period of disciplinary action, including a club fine, after the striker failed to report for training in March due to a hip flexor issue.

The Belgian international has endured a difficult 2025-26 season, largely sidelined by a major hamstring injury suffered during a pre-season friendly. Consequently, he has accumulated only 64 minutes of playing time across seven substitute appearances in all competitions.

Lukaku's fitness struggles continued, preventing him from joining the Belgium national team during the recent international break. Despite the club's wishes for him to train, he opted to remain in Belgium for his recovery, leading to the fine for unauthorized absence.
