Louisville has added another key piece to its Class of 2027 with the commitment of tight end Xavier Ratica from West Chester, Ohio. The highly-touted recruit, standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 235 pounds, recently visited the Cardinals for the start of spring practice.
Ratica selected Louisville over several other offers, including those from Maryland and NC State. He is the second tight end to commit to the Cardinals in the 2027 cycle, joining D'Angelo White. This commitment also highlights Louisville's successful recruiting efforts in Ohio, with Ratica being the fourth prospect from the state to join the class.
Ratica, considered one of the top tight ends in his class, is noted for his blocking prowess, having allowed zero sacks and pressures last season while contributing significantly to his team's drives. He also added receiving statistics, catching eight passes for 114 yards. His commitment contributes to Louisville's overall recruiting class, which ranks highly nationally and within the ACC.
