Olympic athlete Lolo Jones has come forward alleging mistreatment of severe back injuries by the USOPC and USA Bobsled. Jones disclosed that she competed in the 2025 World Championships with a herniated disc, spinal fluid leak, and tears in her vertebrae, experiencing pain, numbness, and loss of bladder control.
According to Jones, her scheduled massage with an Olympic Training Center trainer was canceled by a top USOPC official because she had already received one that week. She was denied X-rays, MRIs, and even ice baths to manage her pain. Despite these serious injuries, the USOPC and USA Bobsled allegedly allowed her to continue competing, risking permanent paralysis.
Jones stated that organizations stripped her rights and penalized her for an injury sustained while testing for Team USA. She has since spent $100,000 on medical and training expenses. The USOPC has reportedly acknowledged that Jones was wrongly denied medical treatment at the Olympic Training Center.
