Runners Tracked Live at 2025 Chicago Marathon

On October 12, 2025, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon will take place, with runners set to start the 26.2-mile race in Grant Park. Spectators and supporters can track their loved ones' progress through the marathon's mobile app, which offers unlimited live race day tracking. The app also allows spectators to submit digital cheers that may be displayed on the course as their participant runs by.

The race is scheduled to begin at 7:30 AM, with runners taking off in waves. The course has a time limit of 6 hours and 30 minutes, and runners must maintain an average pace of 15 minutes per mile to complete the full distance. NBC Chicago will provide live coverage of the event, with a special production starting at 6:30 AM and extensive live coverage beginning at 7 AM.

For those unable to attend the event in person, an exclusive finish line camera will stream live on NBCChicago.com and the NBC 5 Chicago News Streaming Channel from 11 AM to 3 PM, allowing runners' friends and family to watch them cross the finish line.
