America vs Chivas: Clásico Clash Amidst Shifting Fortunes

Liga MX returns to domestic action following a successful week for its clubs in the Concacaf Champions Cup. Saturday features the intense El Super Clásico between Club America and Chivas Guadalajara, with both teams in uncharacteristic positions. Club America, regaining strength with consecutive wins, trails a formidable Chivas side, the league's only team with a perfect five-win record.

Chivas' attack has been bolstered by Richy Ledezma's six assists and the midfield presence of Brian Gutierrez. However, a healthier Club America, featuring American Alex Zendejas and striker Henry Martin, aims to alter the rivalry's narrative. On Sunday, Cruz Azul will host Tigres in another anticipated match. Both clubs also secured victories in the Champions Cup and are level with 10 points in the league standings, sharing the third-highest goal tally in the Clausura season.
