Leeds United Women Aim for League Dominance

Leeds United Women are set to resume their FA WNL Division One North campaign this Sunday, welcoming Norton & Stockton Ancients to the BD Community Stadium. This fixture marks their return to league play following a two-week hiatus dedicated to cup competitions, during which the team achieved notable successes.

Simon Wood's squad recently advanced in both the FA Cup and FA WNL Cup. They secured a place in the FA Cup first round after a dominant win against Stockton Town Ladies, where Alice Hughes scored a hat-trick. Prior to this, Leeds Women achieved consecutive victories against rivals Bradford City Women, including a 2-0 league win that maintained their flawless start to the Division One North season, followed by a 4-1 triumph in the FA WNL Cup.

The visitors, Norton & Stockton, also advanced in the FA Cup last weekend, defeating Salford City Lionesses. They currently occupy seventh place in the Division One North standings. Leeds, however, remains at the summit of the table with a 100% win record from their initial five league matches.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 2pm at Garforth Town's BD Community Stadium. Ticket prices are set at £6 for adults and £4 for those aged 5-16, with children under 5 admitted free. Supporters unable to attend can follow live updates via the match centre on leedsunited.com and stream the game on LUTV.
