LeBron James, the NBA's career scoring king and a current free agent, is slated to publicly address his future plans on Thursday. James is scheduled to record an episode of his "Mind the Game" podcast with Tyrese Haliburton as a guest co-host in New York. This appearance, planned for months, occurs on the opening day of Fanatics Fest.

James, who is the NBA's oldest active player at 41 and entering his 24th season, has been the subject of intense speculation since the Los Angeles Lakers' playoff elimination in May. He previously confirmed his intention to play the upcoming season and depart from the Lakers after an eight-year tenure that included the 2020 NBA title.
