Summary

- Multiple coaches are following Kiffin from Ole Miss to LSU.

LSU Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin has begun assembling his new coaching staff in Baton Rouge following his formal introduction on Monday. Kiffin made a notable decision to leave the Ole Miss Rebels, who were experiencing a historic season and their first College Football Playoff berth. He cited feedback from outside Mississippi, emphasizing LSU's status as a top job with significant resources for winning.
Several coaches are set to follow Kiffin from Ole Miss to LSU. Among them are Offensive Coordinator Charlie Weis Jr., Co-offensive Coordinator Joe Cox, Wide Receivers Coach George McDonald, and Head Strength Coach Nick Savage. These moves indicate a significant shift in personnel as Kiffin aims to build a competitive team at LSU.
Amidst this staff assembly, speculation is mounting about the potential return of former LSU head coach Ed Orgeron, possibly as a defensive line coach. ESPN's Paul Finebaum suggested Orgeron's familiarity with LSU could be a significant asset to Kiffin's new program, especially during challenging times.
