Lando Norris has achieved a major milestone, matching David Coulthard's record of 150 starts for McLaren at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. This landmark moment arrives as Norris leads a closely contested world championship, with teammate Oscar Piastri also a significant contender. The British driver described the achievement as surreal, fulfilling a childhood dream.
The intense championship battle sees Norris holding a lead over Piastri, with McLaren having already secured back-to-back constructors' titles. Despite speculation of tension, Norris stresses that the relationship with Piastri remains respectful and grounded. He explained that the reduction in light-hearted social media content was a mutual decision to focus on racing.
Piastri, aiming to regain momentum, is known for his calm demeanor, a trait Norris admires. As the season enters its final races, the championship fight between the two McLaren teammates remains the central narrative, with their off-track camaraderie intact.
