Tennessee's Lance Simpson has officially earned an exemption to compete on the PGA TOUR Americas. This significant accomplishment stems from his strong performance at the NCAA championships, where he secured an eighth-place finish. Simpson concluded his collegiate senior season ranked 11th nationally among his peers.
The PGA TOUR University program, in collaboration with the World Amateur Golf Ranking, ranks players based on their performance over the last two years of their college careers. This pathway offers opportunities for top collegiate talent to transition to professional tours.
With this exemption, Simpson will join fellow former Tennessee players Jake Hall and Hunter Wolcott on the PGA TOUR Americas. This marks a pivotal step in his golf career, transitioning from collegiate play to the professional circuit.
