Lamar Odom: Rehab Progress Amid DUI Woes

Former NBA player Lamar Odom is reportedly progressing well in his 30-day rehabilitation program at the iRely Recovery center in Los Angeles. Close contacts have shared that Odom is "doing really good" and "feeling amazing," indicating his commitment to sobriety. This treatment was initiated after a recent encounter with police triggered past struggles.

Odom, a two-time NBA champion, has approximately one week remaining in his treatment. Following his departure from the facility, he will need to address his ongoing DUI criminal case. He has retained lawyer Michael Becker to represent him, reportedly feeling "a little worried" about the legal proceedings.

The former Los Angeles Lakers star was arrested last month for driving under the influence near Las Vegas. The arrest involved a DUI charge and two other driving infractions, including alleged failure to maintain travel lanes and excessive speeding. Police also reportedly noted the smell of marijuana in his vehicle. Odom stated he was cooperating and focused on personal growth.

Odom is scheduled to appear in Nevada court on March 17. This incident brings to mind a previous DUI arrest in California thirteen years ago, where he agreed to an alcohol education program and probation. During that period, he was married to Khloe Kardashian, though their marriage later ended. Khloe was recently featured on "The Kardashians" discussing their past relationship, but has not commented on his current situation.
