- Calendar integrates multiple leagues, avoids date overlaps.
The 2026-27 LaLiga season officially commenced on August 14 and will conclude on May 30, comprising a total of 380 matches. The Spanish Football Federation has released the complete fixture list, detailing when each game will be played.
The highly anticipated El Clásico matches between Barcelona and Real Madrid are scheduled: the first will take place at Camp Nou on October 25, 2026, with the return fixture at the Santiago Bernabéu on May 9, 2027. Other significant derbies, including the Madrid, Seville, and Valencia derbies, are strategically placed throughout the season.
LaLiga's calendar creation process has evolved; it is no longer a random draw. A joint effort by the Spanish Football Federation, LaLiga, and Liga F now produces a single integrated schedule, considering over 400 club requests and scheduling constraints. This ensures major matches across Spanish soccer competitions do not overlap.
There will be no league games during the Christmas holidays, with a winter break from December 22 to January 2. The league will also pause for three international windows. The season features only two midweek rounds, on Matchdays 6 and 33.
