Doncic's Ankle Woes: Lakers Star's Status Uncertain
30 Jan
Summary
- Luka Doncic is questionable for Friday's game due to left ankle soreness.
- He injured his ankle stepping into a gap on an elevated court.
- Austin Reaves is questionable; Adou Thiero remains out indefinitely.
Luka Doncic's availability for the LA Lakers' Friday game against the Washington Wizards is uncertain. He was listed as questionable after experiencing left ankle soreness.
This discomfort arose after a concerning incident in the prior game where Doncic's leg slipped into a gap on an elevated court, causing him to fall in pain. Although he briefly returned after treatment, he continued to feel discomfort.
The Lakers hope for Doncic's swift recovery as they aim to rebound from a previous 30-point defeat. The team also provided updates on other players, with Austin Reaves upgraded to questionable following a calf strain. Rookie Adou Thiero, however, is still recovering from a knee sprain with no set return date.
The game is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. EST at the Capital One Arena. Local broadcasts will be available on Spectrum SportsNet and Monumental Sports Network, with wider streaming options on NBA League Pass and Fubo TV.
